This video has done the rounds for a few years now.

I just found some notes dating back to about 2006 with excerpts I had written down from it.

Here you go:

“Believe the dots will connect down the road”

“Find what you love”

“Do what you believe is good work”

“Keep looking don’t settle”

“Remembering I will dead soon is the most important tool I have every encountered to help me make the big choices in life”

“Remembering you are going to die is the best way of avoiding the trap of thinking you have something to loose”

“Death is the single best intervention of life”

“Stay hungry, stay foolish”

When I first saw this it was serendepitous to say the least.

I’d become fascinated by the Mexican day of the dead celebrations (Día de los Muertos).

On this day they celebrate death in a fun, colourful and playful well.

I witnessed this first hand at the end of my first trip to Mexico.

Partying in a cemetery shouldn’t be missed!
